These Terms are written in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, email us before you register and we will explain.
1Who we are
These Terms are an agreement between you and OpenExo Inc, doing business as YXO ("YXO," "we," "us"). They apply when you use yxo.world or register a teen for a YXO workshop. By registering or paying, you confirm you are the teen's parent or legal guardian, at least 18, and agree to these Terms for yourself and your teen.
Contact: yxoworld@gmail.com
2The workshop
YXO is a full-day, in-person workshop for teens ages 13 to 17 on AI, entrepreneurship and purpose. The pilot cohort is held on Nov 7, 2026, 10 AM to 4 PM, at Brickell Mater Academy, 230 SW 17th Rd, Miami, FL 33129. Brickell Mater Academy is providing the space and is not the organizer of YXO. Teens must follow the school's rules while on campus.
We may adjust activities, facilitators or the schedule. If we change the date or venue, or cancel, you can choose a full refund.
3Registration and payment
Only a parent or guardian may register a teen. Please give us accurate information, including allergies, medical needs and an emergency contact, and tell us if anything changes. A seat is confirmed once payment is complete.
The price is $300 for one teen or $500 for two. Payment is handled by Stripe, and your statement may show "Graceworks." We never see your full card number.
Refunds. Cancel 14 or more days before the workshop for a full refund, less Stripe's fee. Cancel 7 to 13 days before for a 50% refund or a full credit toward a future cohort, your choice. Within 7 days, or if your teen does not attend, no refund is owed. You can transfer the seat to another eligible teen at no cost. To cancel, email lily@exospeakers.com. Questions about a charge? Email us first and we will sort it out quickly.
4Safety and supervision
All YXO facilitators are screened before working with teens. At least two adults are present at all times, and staff do not spend time alone with a single teen or message teens privately.
Teens stay on campus from drop-off to pickup, including lunch. Phones stay put away during the day. To reach your teen, call or text 1-646-522-1414. We release teens only to you or an adult you name, unless you tell us in writing that your teen may leave on their own.
5Health and emergencies
Teens who need emergency medication, such as an EpiPen or inhaler, should carry it themselves. Staff do not give medication. We take reasonable care with food but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
If your teen is hurt or ill, we will contact you right away. If we cannot reach you or your emergency contact, you authorize us to call emergency services and consent to emergency medical care for your teen. You are responsible for the cost of that care.
6Conduct, devices and AI tools
We expect every teen to treat others with respect. For unsafe, harassing or seriously disruptive behavior, we may call you to pick your teen up, without refund. Your teen stays supervised until you arrive.
Teens should bring a laptop and charger. YXO is not responsible for lost or damaged belongings. Workshops use third-party AI and web tools, which have their own terms and age rules. You give permission for your teen to use them under our supervision. We teach teens not to enter personal information into these tools.
7Photos and ideas
We take photos and video at the workshop. We will only use images in which your teen can be identified if you tick the photo-consent box at registration, and we will never post their full name or school with their image. You can withdraw consent any time by email.
Your teen's ideas and work belong to them. Because the workshop is collaborative, ideas shared out loud with the group cannot be kept confidential. YXO's materials, name and curriculum belong to us and are for personal learning only.
8Risk and liability
YXO is an educational program and does not promise any particular result. Like any in-person activity, attending carries some risk, such as minor injury, illness or allergic reaction. You understand these risks and choose to let your teen take part.
To the extent the law allows, OpenExo Inc and its team are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our liability for any claim about fees, refunds or scheduling is limited to the amount you paid. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9General
If weather, a hurricane or other events outside our control stop the workshop, we will offer a new date or a full refund, your choice. These Terms are governed by Florida law. Please contact us first to resolve any concern; unresolved disputes go to the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. We may update these Terms, but changes will not affect a registration already paid for without your agreement.
